What Does It Mean to Be Blessed?
Dharma talk with Peggy Rowe Ward
“Good thoughts are blessed guests, and should be heartily welcomed, well fed, and much sought after. Like rose leaves, they give out a sweet smell if laid up in the jar of memory.”
Please join us online for our monthly talk with Peggy Rowe Ward, senior Dharma teacher, celebrated author of Love’s Garden, and co-founder of the Lotus Institute. In this 90-minute gathering, we will share in meditation, Dharma and open conversation. Oh, and probably a little bit of music too.
In our time together, we’ll explore the question, “What does it mean to be blessed?” In the Buddhist tradition, blessings are understood as the natural fruits of virtuous and compassionate action. A positive influence that arises through connection and mindfulness. Peggy will share stories and insights from her own journey, including her time spent with Thich Nhat Hanh, the teachings of the Buddha, and her lived experience of receiving and offering blessings.
