Dear friends,
Join us for a heartfelt celebration of Dr. Larry Ward’s first published collection of poetry, Morning Night. This special online event will bring together friends, family, students, and teaching partners to honor Larry’s creative life as a poet.
Our gathering will begin with an opening prayer, smudge, and song from musician and Dharma teacher Joe Reilly. The program will feature poetry readings from Morning Night by a circle of voices, including Emanuel Ward (Larry’s son) and Buddhist teachers Valerie Brown and Sister Peace. Peggy Rowe Ward will offer reflections on Larry’s creative journey as a poet, while Lotus members and writers Beth Howard and Norma Bradley will share playful haiku interludes throughout the night.
This event is free and by donation, and all who register will receive the recording. Please help us spread the word by sharing with friends, sanghas and communities!
